Germs are not for Sharing at Broadway Village

Fall kick starts more than just a new school year for your kids, it is also the time for pesky germs to spread! As a reminder, the fall marks the beginning of Flu season and if you aren’t ready it will sneak up on you. Here’s how to prevent not only your kids or grandkids from getting sick but you as well!

  1. Wash your hands: Washing your hands is the #1 way you can prevent the spread of germs. Make sure you’re washing your hands long enough (20-30seconds) after using the bathroom, especially after coughing or sneezing.
  2. Practice Good Hygiene: Along with washing your hands, its also important to make sure the areas around you are clean. If you sneeze or cough, make sure to cover your mouth as to be respectful of others around you. Remember to keep highly trafficked areas and surfaces clean by disinfecting (door knobs, countertops etc.)
  3. Take care of your body: Taking care of the outside is just as important as the inside! Be sure to fuel your body with food that nourishes your immune system, get enough sleep and stay active with exercising.

One way we are caring for our body at Broadway Village is by offering a Vaccination Clinic held on Thursday September 19th from 1:15pm - 2:15pm through Homeland Health Specialists. Instead of going to the clinic, residents are offered the ability to get vaccinated closer to their homes. Homeland Health Specialists will be offering Flu shots and COVID vaccinations!
