Awesome August at Twin Lake North!
August has come and we are halfway through the summer. We have had some great summer adventures with Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Rec on the Go, LNRVM, Farmers Market, Crime and Safety meetings, and Amazing Crafty DIY projects. Fall will arrive soon, and we will shift and have some new and exciting events coming for you to explore and engage in.
We held National Night on August 6th from 4-6 pm, residents got to meet some of our community volunteers and local Police and Fire Department members. Residents and visitors had the opportunity to receive a complimentary plate of food from our Twin Lake North staff for non-perishable food item or $1.00/person donation to benefit the NEAR food shelf. This was a great opportunity to continue to build unity in our community!
Looking for back-to-school help and fun in the community check out one of our community partner's events hosted by Honored 2 Help's 4th Annual Back 2 School BBQ! Located at Zanewood Recreation Center on Saturday, August 17, 2024, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM There will be delicious food, exciting games, and opportunities to connect with your community. Whether you're a student, parent, or community member, this event is for you! This entirely FREE EVENT will include thousands of backpack giveaways filled with school supplies, plenty of BBQ, activities, community resources, prizes, and more!
