Join Us for an Exciting May at Twin Lake North: Mother’s Day, Outdoor Fun, & Community Events!

In the month of May, at Twin Lake North, help us refresh our library! We're hosting a Book & DVD Drive from May 1st through June 1st. Please bring your gently used books and DVDs to share with the community. This is an excellent opportunity to declutter your shelves and help us fill our library with fresh, new items. Let’s give those worn-out books a new home!

To celebrate our mothers for Mother’s Day, we will be hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch/gift pickup on Monday, May 12^th, beginning at 11 AM. I encourage all mothers and mother figures to come out and be pampered on this day. Without mothers, where would we be?

With the warmer weather approaching, we have a few activities outside this month. Every Wednesday, we will be outside walking, starting at the clubhouse. This is an opportunity to connect with your neighbors and get active. On Tuesday, May 20^th, we will be heading over to the Como Zoo. Thursday, May 22^nd, will be the last day for residents to submit photos for the Golden Hour Photo Contest. Show off your photography skills TLN! Lastly, on Friday, May 23^rd, we will be heading over to the courtyard to spark up the grill for our summer kick-off Grill & Chill.

In addition to the activities happening here in the clubhouse, the Brooklyn Center Community Center will be hosting a Clean & Swap event on Saturday, May 17th. Bring your unwanted items, set them out on tables, and browse through what others have to offer. This is a free swap event. This is also an opportunity to access and learn more about the community resources available for those seeking long-term support with clothing, housing, food, and more. They will also be hosting several collection drives, including one for eyeglasses and hearing aids (with the Lions Club), drug take-back (courtesy of the Brooklyn Center Police), and electronics recycling. Come out to clean up, swap, and connect with your community!
