Joyful June: A Time for Community and Celebration

June is here, and The TLN has already set the stage for a memorable summer, having launched it with a series of delightful events in May. From the heartwarming Mother's Day brunch to the creative burst of the DIY craft session where residents fashioned chic clutch purses, the community spirit has been in full bloom.

Let’s Kick off June with LNRVM (Lang Nelson Resident Visit Month) It’s a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with each other and celebrate our vibrant community. During this special month, we can come together to enhance our community spirit and create lasting memories. Here are some exciting ways to participate in LNRVM: Campus gatherings, our health and wellness programs, and craft activities. Remember LNRVM is all about fostering connections, celebrating diversity, and enhancing our shared home.

As June takes shape the excitement continues to build. The garden club is ready to sprout, offering a chance for green thumbs to shine and for others to learn the joys of gardening. 'Rec on the go' is coming back to ensure that recreation and nutrition are accessible to residents 18 and under. And let's not forget the Father's Day Brunch that will take place in June, a perfect occasion to honor the fathers and father figures in our lives with good food and great company.

These events are more than just entries on a calendar; they are opportunities to connect, to learn from one another, and most of all to celebrate the small joys that make our community a family, whether you're a long-time resident or a newcomer, there's a place for you here, and countless ways to contribute to the tapestry of our shared experiences.

If you would like to attend the celebration of Juneteenth (Nationally held June 19th) commemorating enslaved people's emancipation in the US. It is a significant event that honors the history and contributions of African Americans. Join the celebration held on June 15th, 1 pm-7 pm at North Hennepin Community College at 7411 85th Ave N, Brooklyn Park MN 55445.
