Let’s Heat Up the Fall at Summit Oaks
September is here school has started weather is getting cooler and leaves will start to turn. With the cooler weather comes out the nasty little bugs like the flu and colds. Summit oaks would like to announce that our annual flu and covid vaccination clinic From Homeland Health will be here September 30th form10:45am through 12:00pm. If anyone is still interested, we have room just call our office for information at 763-421-3152.
Starting up in September is our Blueberry pancakes breakfast nothing like a chilly morning waking up and heading down for some warm fresh blueberry Pancakes. Residents also bring breakfast items to share. Pancake breakfast is September 25th at 10am bring a friend! On the same day at 6:00pm summit Oaks is having a Crazy Bingo night with prizes. Everyone is invited to join and have fun!
We are going to jump ahead to October with a new Idea Summit Oaks residents came up with, A resident Council Dinner Wednesday October 23rd. Residents’ family and friends can go out to dinner without leaving the building. The menu consists of BBQ Ribs, Twice Baked potato, salad, and dessert. Cost is $15.00 if you are interested call the office to sign up.
On October 11th Summit Oaks 3rd Chili contest will take place. If you make a mean Chili and know everyone will like it join us as a contestant or if you just want to try the chili out and judge, come also. Of course we can’t go through October with out celebrating Halloween. Monday October 28th at 6:00pm Families, adults anyone join us for a Halloween Party. Food, Games, Prizes, and last but not least a costume contest.
Around town in September 23rd at 6:00pm Alloy Brewing Company is having a pour your own Epoxy class. This class you have a choice of picking a Charcuterie Board, Lazy Susan or Coupes Charcuterie Board. The boards feature premium black walnut and other fine hardwoods, accented with epoxy in colors or your choice. You can select up to two epoxy colors.
