The Legacy of St. Anthony welcomes Carolyn to their team!
Welcome Carolyn to the Legacy of St. Anthony!
"I have the pleasure of being the new Life Enrichment Coordinator at the Legacy of St. Anthony. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of the residents and their families. Please allow me to tell you a little bit about myself.
I grew up in West St. Paul, MN, and now reside in Crystal so, yes, I have “crossed the river.” For those who have lived in either St. Paul or Minneapolis you know exactly what I mean. I am an only child but my grandma lived with us. I have the words “spiffy” and “swanky” in my vocabulary. My husband, Bill, and I have been married for 27 years now. He still calls me his bride, and that’s fine with me! We have three children and a dog named Tucker. My home life usually has a story attached to it for our home has become a hub of action with us having an open door policy to friends, family, and neighbors.
My professional career started out as being an elementary educator for 21 years. I enjoyed those years of developing young minds to not only be academically excellent but also helped in developing the students to be fine and responsible young people.
My last school year was 2009-2010. For the next four years I pursued various other career professions one of which being an Activities Assistant at another Lang Nelson site. I gained invaluable direction and training from that position. Up until this past month I was still working very part time there as an escort for the Brunch outings. The residents would tease me by saying that Carolyn doesn’t ever need a menu because all she orders is pancakes and bacon. The thing is, they are right!
So there you have it, a little bit about me. I am so excited to bring my years of working with individuals to have fulfilling and rewarding days here to The Legacy. I have been described as an enthusiastic and creative person. To that I say, “thank you.” I plan on using my natural abilities to make the activities the best part of our resident’s day. Take care everybody and have a blessed day.
Please take a moment to stop by the Legacy and introduce yourself, I look forward to meeting you!"
