Jeniece J. moved to Emerald Pointe in June of 2014 which definitely was a blessing to us to have her be part of the Lang Nelson family. During our interview process I learned a lot about Jeniece. Jeniece loves JAZZ and when I asked her who her favorite musician was, her reply was “There are so many”, but she had such an admiration expression on her face when she said “George Benson”.
Her favorite past times are playing Bid Whist and reading the bible. Jeniece was very eager to tell me that she has two children, a girl and a boy which gave her 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. It is always fun when Jeniece comes downstairs to visit with the other residents, because we never know what she will be wearing for the day. She loves hats and we love to see her wear them. If we took a poll, I think out of all of her hats, our favorite is the one that says BOSS.
When I asked Jeniece how she first heard about Emerald Pointe, she was quick to respond that her son’s friend informed her about Emerald Pointe. Her son met Sue, our housing specialist, and end of story..she rented on the spot!! Jeniece lived in a house prior to moving to Emerald Pointe and it was time for her to down size due to health reasons.
