Spicin’ It Up At Broadway Village!
This past week we had our Chili Cook – Off! Residents were encouraged to sign-up and join the competition or stop by to sample the tasty recipes. Chili’s featured in the competition included: white spicy chicken chili, Cincinnati chili, and two traditional red chili’s.
Our special guests did the judging:
- New Hope Mayor Kathi Hemken,
- Chief Police of New Hope and City Manager – Tim Hoyt
- Community Relations Officer – Brad Kallio
- Human Rights Commissioner – Donna Meyer
Congratulations to our winners!
1st Place went to Don’s traditional red chili, Don is one of our Veterans and has been living at Broadway Village for 13 years. 2nd Place went to Judy, another traditional red chili recipe, Judy has been with Broadway Village for 8 years. A big thank you to our special guests and residents who participated in this event as well.
