Broadway Village December Announcements

So many things to CELEBRATE this Holiday Season! Charitable Outreach, Apartment Upgrades to all of our units, fun social events where neighbors become friends and much, much more!!

This Holiday Season we are so grateful for our wonderful residents who are giving back SO much to the local community. Here at Broadway Village, we are doing 3 different Holiday Charitable Outreach Programs.

Our Mitten Tree - We set up our beautiful tree in our Community Room and our residents work together and fill our tree with mittens, scarves, hats and other winter clothing to be donated to Meadow Lake and Forest Elementary schools so the kids that cannot afford winter clothing don’t go cold. Please stop by our Community Room to donate a scarf, mittens or a hat to help the little ones stay warm this blustery winter.

Kidpacks to End Childhood Hunger - Last school year Kidpacks were provided for 2 weekends a month for Forest and Meadow Lake Elementary Schools. This school year, they are provided for 3 weekends a month. Each kidpack contains things like cold and hot cereal, apple sauce, Easy Mac & Cheese and Granola bars. Imagine being 6 or 7 years old and Thanksgiving is a long weekend, December has Christmas vacation and there is little or no food at home? We are digging deep at Broadway to continue this program for the Meadow Lake and Forest Elementary Schools to end childhood hunger.

NEAR Food Shelf - Join Broadway Village and the NEAR Food Shelf in the fight to end hunger by donating non perishable food items. Now more than ever, in these Holiday months, where families go hungry, we need your help. Broadway Village residents are opening their hearts and their pantry to help those in need. If you’d like to help, drop by our Community Room and donate a non-perishable food item.

Aside from the wonderful charitable work that we’re doing, we also like to share all of the social activities going on here as well… Here are just a few fun things we did this month…

Turtle Lake trip, Movie Night, Bible Studies, Dinner Club, Thanksgiving Potluck, Broadway Village Luncheon and much more!

We are having a Holiday Lights and Decorating Contest here and we want you to be the judge! Please stop by during the day or evening to look at all of the decorations and lights during the Holiday season and let us know what you think.

We always have fun events going on here at Broadway Village and it’s no different for December. So come join in on all of the excitement and start living The Lang Nelson Experience.

Here are some December events that we would love for you to come and take part in! Just give us a call so we can save your seat!

Decorating the Community Room for Christmas: December 2nd at 2:00 – Please come down to the Community Room for a hot beverage, help us decorate the Community Room and have a Fa la la good time with your neighbors and friends!

Robbinsdale Band Concert: December 5th at 7:00pm – The Robbinsdale City Band will be putting on an AMAZING show during their Holiday Concert. If you have never heard them play you will need to save your seat today!

Decorating Holiday Cookies: December 10th at 2:00pm – Yum!! Come down to the Community Room to decorate your favorite cookies. We will provide the cookies, frosting and sprinkles, you just bring yourself!

Open Game Night: December 31st at 6:30pm – No sign up necessary. We are keeping the game night very casual so if you have a game to bring, bring it, if not just bring yourself. We will have board games here! If you want to bring a snack to share, you may, if not, that’s just fine. It’ll be a fun night and a great way to spend your New Year’s Eve!

Broadway Village Luncheon: December 16th at 12:00pm - Come enjoy a delicious, warm lunch with dessert catered by DW’s Diner and stick around for amazing door prizes and Holiday entertainment in our Community Room.
