Cloverleaf Courts Residents Get a Hoot Out of their Manager!

Our manager, Jake Ilika, is not only an award-winning member of the Lang Nelson team, he is an avid (albeit amateur) wildlife and nature photographer.  Residents know his affinity for owls and have been known to spoil him from time to time.  Jake will be presenting a program on owls of Minnesota (and his pictures of them) on Friday, January 24, at 1:00pm, and you are invited!  It’s free and open to the public, so please RSVP by Wednesday, January 22 if you’d like to attend. 

Jake’s travels have brought him in touch with a well-known birding community in northern Minnesota – Friends of Sax Zim Bog – who have an amazing welcome center, educational material and programs, printable maps of the bog and all its features, and a running list of recent sightings.  Jake has also connected with wildlife rescues like Wildwoods (Duluth area) and U of M Raptor Center, who rescue injured birds of prey found in our state.  We are working out a date to have a program from the U of M Raptor Center on site, so stay tuned to our blog for updates on that.
