Celebrating Blaine Courts!
Blaine Courts and all of Lang Nelson celebrate our residents every day, but especially throughout the month of June – Lang Nelson Resident Visit Month (or LNRVM). Though we had to change things up from the normal celebrations this year, we were still able to gather on the beautiful grounds of our community, sharing smiles, friendships, flowers and veggies from the garden, and live music all month!
Many of the residents complimented how great it was to get outside and hear music as we socialized in the shade of the trees in our yard, underneath a (sometimes HOT) summer sun. We had music weekly from our assistant manager Jake, a nationally-renowned Blues artist Mike Munson, and fun arrangements of classic songs by the Fridley Brass Quintet. We even got to enjoy some ice cream treats – quickly, or they’d melt! Moving into July and August, we will have more pop-up concerts in the yard and continue in the age-old human traditions of building community and relationships through music and art. Pop-up concerts will happen on Tuesdays at 3:00pm – July 7th ,14th,21st, 28th. Bring a lawn chair, wear your mask, and join us for an afternoon concert!
