Having Fun, it’s How We Roll at the Arbors
Wow! We sure have been busy here and that’s just the way we like it. We have been told that the variety of activities and events we offer is so appreciated. We strive to find something that will appeal to each of our residents. We love to enjoy dinner and lunch out at new restaurants. We love to celebrate and have fun right here, together, in our community room. We love hosting live music events and inviting guest speakers to discuss various topics. This month, our lunch and dinner outings will take us to Mallard’s in Forest Lake, and The Red Ginger China Bistro in Shoreview. We have some of the best 5th grade students from a local elementary school coming to play games with us. We will be trying some of the newest and most interesting snacks at our Snack Sampling. We will be heading to Woodbury for some shopping and lunch. We are also looking forward to visiting the Como Park Conservatory.
One of the best things about having so many activities and events to choose from, are others who attend and become friends. Because of all we do, our residents have built lasting friendships. Friendships that provide encouragement, care, fun and laughter. Sitting next to someone on the bus, or at dinner, playing a game or going for a walk with a group of people, are easy and natural ways to connect. Recently, Mary, one of our residents, introduced herself to a new resident, Jackie. Mary invited Jackie to play cards and to happy hour. Jackie has since come into my office to share with me just how grateful she is to have such a great new friend and neighbor. Our residents have fun participating and growing friendships. Their relationships with one another makes The Arbors even better!
