Anthony James Had a “Bunch “of Fun

Last year the Near Food Shelf received several boxes of bananas at their location, and because of the banana’s shell life, Edger from the food shelf donated a large box to our community. This prompted us to have our first banana bread baking contest.

We had a great turn out and had 16 bakers enter their own special inspired take on banana bread. This year as a thanks to Edger and the Near Food shelf we are planning another Banana Bread Baking Contest.

Edger has graciously agreed to be one of our judges, and Mayor John Elder has agreed to be our second judge.

The Anthony James and Lang Nelson are proud to support the Near Food Shelf with donations and volunteers from our residents. Last year our resident donated over 700 pounds of need items. Please visit the Near Food Shelf for donation, or volunteer opportunities. 5209 Broadway in Crystal  www.nearfoodshelf.org  any individual or family with food needs are eligible to receive.
