Summit Oaks has a lot to celebrate in May!

Summit Oaks is ready for the beautiful weather with the start of summer.  We started with planting flowers, getting the pool ready, while our entire underground parking garage was swept and re-striped. We also received brand new state-of-the-at fire alarm sounders.  We had an informational session led by Coon Rapids Fire Marshal, Todd Williams, Fire Fighter Shannon, and Electric Fire & Security personnel.  Todd explained the in-unit fire code installation, its purpose, and safety and evacuation procedures. He stated not once, but twice, about how safe Summit Oaks is and the exceptional structure of the building. Everyone enjoyed cake and ice cream cones, too. 

Summit Oaks residents also celebrated a Spring Fever Pot Luck Dinner where our talented Maintenance Tech, Greg, didn’t let the dismal weather stop him, as he barbecued in a down pour of cold rain – and did he ever get drenched! This month there’s plenty to look forward to along with warmer weather - there’s Cinco de Mayo, a Mother’s Day Tea Party, Fishing Opener, and Memorial Day.  We’ll gather May 12th for a Recycling Success Achievement party with a recap of your recycling contributions, as graded by the City of Coon Rapids’ Green Corp Recycle program.  Summit Oaks received top honors and featured in local cable news program highlighting our success.
