2020 Lang Nelson Charitable Campaigns!

Residents and staff have gone above and beyond in their charitable efforts during the season of giving in 2020! We want to shout it from the rooftops! Below is a comprehensive list of our charitable organizations with amounts given by site:

  • Solid Ground – 10 gift cards
  • Angel Fund/The Closet 25 hats & mittens

  • Food Drive – 300 lbs
  • Adopt a Family STAV - $1,500 or 2 families
  • Hat/Mitten Drive – 300 pairs and 150 hats

  • Disabled Veterans Clothing – 4 barrels of clothing
  • Good in the Hood – 4 barrels of clothing
  • Hat and Mitten Tree – 2 full trees
• Broadway Village
  • Hat and Mitten Tree – Knitting Event: at least 7 participants donated 40 pieces
  • Near Food Shelf – 1200 lbs of food

  • NEAR Food Shelf – 100 lbs of food
  • Thank You, Teachers – 20 gift cards
  • American Legion Eye Glasses Drive – 30 pair

  • Shoe Away Hunger – 100 Pair of shoes
  • Troops Need Love Too – 50 lbs

  • Partner with local churches for food drive for CEAP
  • Hats & Mittens with Big 3 churches

  • Near Food Shelf – 30 lbs of food

  • Shoe Away Hunger – 65 pairs of shoes

  • Humane Society Golden Valley - $500

  • Orono Schools - $300 gift cards
  • Food drive – 2 drops/2 bins each.

  • Operation Christmas Child – 25 filled boxes and delivered to Mount Olive church
  • Oaks of Love – Collect cold weather apparel to donate.

  • DAV – 3 grocery carts
  • Sharing & Caring Hands – 3 grocery carts

  • Food drive – 50 gallons
  • Hat & Mitten Drive – 30 hats and mittens
