The Crossings at Brookwood Spotlights Lil O.

Lil has lived at The Crossings for a year now...she is ecstatic to be here and part of the community! She loves her neighbors as well as the staff and has so much fun! She has dove in head first getting involved with everything from Bingo to Wii bowling, 500, Chat & Chowders, shuffleboard (2nd place in the December tournament!), & bean bags (1st place winner!)...just to name a few!

Originally from Mora, MN, Lil graduated from high school there before moving to Minneapolis and getting a job with an insurance agency. She met the love of her life in Osseo and got married; they had 2 daughters and lived in Osseo. She was a travel agent for 39 years and was able to travel around the world! Her favorite trips were to the Scandinavian countries because that’s her heritage and she has lots of family that lives in Norway and Sweden. She has loved golf since she started playing when she was a junior in high school. She does tons of volunteer work including for the Susan Kolman Breastcancer Foundation, Palmer Lake Ladies Auxiliary VFW, the Brooklyn Center Women’s Auxiliary, and the Brooklyn Center Women’s Club. She is a member at St. Girard’s Church but also attends Our Lady Victory. As many of us have been fortunate enough to witness for ourselves, she loves to cook, bake, & share! She recently won two Above & Beyond Awards at our community for her involvement with the local community and her neighbors here.
