Community: The Arbors of White Bear Lake
Acts of Kindness and Beyond at The Arbors!
When the going gets tough, The Arbors residents rally and don’t give up! We always knew that we lived in a very unique, caring community, but this was reemphasized and proven without a doubt by the endless acts of kindness displayed during the Coronavirus outbreak.
While way too numerous to mention all that is being done, here are a few of the selfless, heartwarming events that are taking place here at The Arbors:
- Email chains among residents to check in and offer help where needed.
- Phone calls between residents to be sure they have groceries, medications, all that they need.
- Emails among residents sharing uplifting content, cartoons, poetry, and book suggestions.
- Residents printing photos for those without computer access, and delivering them to their doors.
- Residents offering to shop and pick up prescriptions for those unable to do so themselves.
- Residents making and sharing meals with their neighbors in need.
- Newspaper delivery to apartments, so residents can stay safe in their homes.
- Residents and family members receiving calls from staff for check-in and conversation.
- Residents and family have been provided with staff personal contact information to stay connected and feel safe.
While we are slowly getting used to this new, temporary way of life, we also feel so grateful and blessed for our wonderful neighbors and coworkers at The Arbors!
