Will April Showers Bring Mayflowers to the Legacy?

The residents at The Legacy of St Anthony are like family to us.  Staff are very dedicated, and have an authentic heart.  “WE” are here to assure that living at The Legacy is better than anywhere else.  Our mission is to “go above and beyond our customer’s expectations by providing quality living environments that enhance their lives physically, socially, and spiritually. “ We strive to provide all of the components in our motto 24/7.

Lunch with Lafawn (legacydirector@lanel.com) has been on our calendar for one year.  Enjoy a delightful conversation with our Director, Lafawn Kibble, while enjoying a delicious lunch.

The next birthday party is scheduled for Thursday, April 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the Ida Marie dining room.  “Mac” from Comfort Keepers (ComfortKeepers.com) will be providing us with the cake and Ida Marie dining services will be providing the ice cream! Our entertainer for the birthday party will be none other than (randyrolloff@comcast.net)  Randy Rolloff.

Congratulations to our St. Patrick’s Day and Easter contest winners!  Both won a gift basket for their efforts. Item’s for the gift basket supplies and other decorations hand crafted by our residents can be found at your local Dollar Tree www.dollartree.com and Hobby Lobby stores https://www.hobbylobby.com/.

Residents of The Legacy have been excited for Spring long before the date listed on the calendar. Look for our first Garden Group meeting which falls on (April 22) Earth Day. See you at 2:00 p.m. in the Town Hall for a lively discussion about all things green and growing.  For those of you who wish to be inspired in the garden, please visit (htt://motherearthgarden.com) the Mother Earth Garden Center. The garden center is about 4 blocks away from The Legacy.

Our tea events have gotten to be so popular and well attended, that we have had to move from the Town Hall, into the gracious space of Grand Parlor.  We serve a variety of tea’s and treats on antique China.  And because the Grand Parlor has a player piano, we now have music to go with our tea and conversation. For a diverse collection of loose teas and other specialty items, visit https://www.teasource.com/minnesota/loose-leaf-tea  The Tea Source. And much like our friends at Mother Earth Garden’s, The Tea Source is within walking distance.

Students from St. Anthony Middle School (htts://Sams.isd282.org) have requested the presence of our residents to participate in an intergenerational summit and learning session. Look for photos and more information about this collaboration coming to you soon!

And lastly, has Elvis really left the Building?  Join us for a concert featuring the music of (toddelvisanderson@gmail.com) Elvis Presley April 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Grand Parlor. Come on in and join us. I heard that there will be a “whole lot of shaken’ Going on!”

Family, friends, neighbors as well as our other Lang Nelson and Apartments https://www.langnelson.com are always cordially invited! If you want to take part in our programing, enjoy a delicious meal, or tour our beautiful building, come on in for a visit.  We are happy to have you. Call us today to schedule a tour. Or, email legacyhousingspecialist@lanel.com.
